Perhaps the third time will be the charm for "The Hangover Part II". It seems that tattoo artist cameo originally to be filled by "Mad" Mel Gibson - who was dropped after the cast rebelled - and then "Taken" over by Liam Neeson, will ultimately be played by "The Notebook" director Nick Cassavetes. Yes, it seems Liam's work was recently edited out after the film’s director, Todd Phillips, was forced to do reshoots and the veteran actor was unavailable due to scheduling conflicts.
“We were in a complete time crunch so I called up Nick and asked if he would do the part,” Phillips told Variety. “He came in and crushed it and that is the scene that you will ultimately see in the film. [I’m excited for everyone] to see the film. It turned out great.”
“The Hangover Part II,” starring Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha, will be released on May 16, 2011.
