Jesse Ventura Calls America A Fascist Nation

And now Elepharts moves on from news about Elle "The Body" Macpherson to news about Jesse "The Body" Ventura. The former pro wrestler and Governor of Minnesota has a new book to sell: 63 Documents the Government Doesn't Want You to Read. In it he is said to embark on a pursuit for truth to unveil what our government is doing behind closed doors. "I've put together this book in the same spirit as the WikiLeaks' disclosures—to reveal the truth." Ventura explains. "It's become crystal clear that our democracy has been undermined from within and it's been going on for a long time."

During his book tour, Jesse Ventura will give his energetic, no-holds-barred opinions on the scandalous behavior of our politicians, what this means to the American people, and what we can do about it. Here's a taste of what you'll hear on interviews with Piers Morgan, Howard Stern, Alan Colmes, The View, Good Morning America, and more:

1) Today the United States is a fascist government. They still want people to believe that we're a democracy and that the individual has a say, but that's "the big lie." Fascism is the merger of corporations and religion, by classic definition. Corporations have bought our political system and religion has become embedded in the form of Christianity – leaving very little to the individual citizen. Because corporations now own the candidates of both parties, the only recourse is to fight with our votes to get rid of the two party system and open it up.

2) Another lie being perpetrated by the government: when a young person joins the military it's to protect the American people. In fact, the military is the muscle arm of the corporations. Ventura issues the challenge to describe one time since World War Two where the U.S. was in danger of being invaded and our lifestyle changed. First it was the domino effect of communism being sold, today it's patriotism, and both are false. The government doesn't want you to know that joining the military today has nothing to do with protecting the family down the block, but rather to push corporate interests throughout the world.

3) What about the rise in gas prices? If it's supposedly because of Libya, their exported oil goes not to the U.S. but to Europe. What bill of goods are we being sold on this? And who is benefiting - just the big oil companies? Supposedly, we were moving toward more fuel-efficient cars.

63 Documents the Government Doesn't Want You to Read is a collection of actual government data; written examples of criminal activity that Ventura hopes will inspire or infuriate readers to "wake up and start demanding accountability from guilty government figures." Jesse Ventura implores all Americans to challenge unnecessary secrecy; government leaders will show greater ethical consideration in the future if we remove their masks today.

Jesse Ventura is the former Independent Governor of Minnesota. He is also a former U.S. Navy SEAL, professional wrestler, movie actor, a visiting fellow at Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and the New York Times bestselling author of five books. He is currently the host and executive producer of TruTV's Conspiracy Theory with Jesse Ventura. He has a reputation as the ultimate non-partisan truth-seeker; he has no qualms about questioning authority. His official website is www.WeAintGotTimeToBleed.com.
