Britney Spears knows a thing or two about generating marketing heat. Oh yeah, the superstar has once again taken over the world with the release of "Femme Fatale" and the resulting string of steamy singles and music videos... and of course up-coming concert tour kicking off on June 17, 2011.
So when she needed an opening act for the tour who did she sign up? There were rumors it was going to be Enrique Iglesias, but that fell apart because Enrique sees himself as too big a star to open for Britney. Please excuse us while we here at Elepharts enjoy a hearty laugh about that -- HA-HA-HA!!!! Anyways, whether that was true or not, TMZ has confirmed that Britney has instead signed on the hotter than hot Nicki Minaj to join the tour! Talk about your upgrades! Nicki currently has two singles on the Billboard Top 100 - "Moment 4 Life" and "Did It On'em" - so one could argue (correctly) that she's going to bring a whole lot more heat to the show than Enriq... ah who cares - let's just call him "old whats-his-name".
