Charlie Sheen: Torpedoed In Detroit But Battles Back In Chicago

Okay, so surely you've heard about how The Warlock totally bombed on opening night. Oh yeah, Charlie Sheen's 'Violent Torpedo Of Truth Defeat Is Not An Option Tour' kicked off Saturday night in Detroit and was a complete and utter disaster. The opening act comedian was booed off stage. The video segments were jeered. The crowd heckled him mercilessly as he failed to deliver a reasonable show by any measure.

So the "winning" actor reportedly stayed up until 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning re-working everything and "getting back to basics... you gotta go with what got you to the dance and give the people what they want," the actor said. "On the bus someone said, 'You know, we could just keep driving to L.A.' I said, 'That's what losers do. I won.' "

The Chicago crowd greeted the former "Two and a Half Men" star with a standing ovation (as he had been in Detroit) last night along with chants of "Detroit sucks!" Charlie then sat in a chair with a pack of smokes and was interviewed by the tour's co-producer Joey Scoleri. He talked about his marriages saying "I'm 0-3" and about his latest estranged wife Brooke Mueller. "Nice try," he said of her attempt to take away his twin sons. "I got those kids back didn't I? She sent 9,000 cops to my house looking for drugs and guns. They found one gun from 1848."

He also discussed his extremely high-profile departure from "Two and a Half Men" saying "I didn't walk away... I got fired. That's not... cool. They didn't (care) that I was hammered for eight years ... If they hired me back I'd do it again."

He also talked about trying to add a third "goddess" to his harem. "I tried a third. I did," he said. "You can't keep an eye on the third one. I have two eyes. I have two goddesses. I'm not bipolar. I'm bi-winning."

So in the end he received another standing ovation, unlike in Detroit where the show ended early amid catcalls, walkouts and refund demands. It seems the world really does just want more Charlie Sheen unvarnished and unfettered by videos, music and other frills. And the "Torpedo" tour is back on track.
