Selena Gomez Announces Summer Concert Tour



Elepharts has some exciting news now for the legions of fans of Disney starlet Selena Gomez - the platinum-selling artist and her band The Scene have just announced their summer headline tour, kicking off July 24 in Costa Mesa at the Orange County Fair. The opening act will be their Hollywood Records label mates, Allstar Weekend. Tickets will start to go on sale the weekend of April 2. Selena said, "I am so excited to see my incredible fans on tour. We're working a great production, and set lists including some surprise covers. I want to make sure everyone has a fun time."

In addition to her summer tour, Selena is on tap to release her third album, and will star in Fox's feature film "Monte Carlo" which will be in theaters July 1.

The announcement comes on the heels of the impressive debut of Selena's new single, "Who Says," which catapulted to #10 and sold over 115,000 units in its first week. "Who Says" was also the #1 most added single at Top 40 radio overtaking new singles by Bruno Mars and Britney Spears. The video for "Who Says" has nearly 5 million views on Vevo since its March 11 premiere. "Who Says" will be featured on Selena Gomez & The Scene's third upcoming summer album. Selena and her band already have a platinum single, two #1 Billboard Dance Singles, and two gold-selling, top-ten debuting albums to date. Selena Gomez & The Scene performed "Who Says" live for the first time last Sunday at the 3rd Annual Concert for Hope, and yesterday on Ellen.
