Sammy Hagar Was Abducted By Aliens

Ah... but was he probed?
Right. So Elepharts has long been of the opinion that Sammy Hagar was a poor substitute for the great David Lee Roth as the lead singer for Van Halen. He took over after the band had already reached its zenith and was on the decline. For instance everyone considers "Panama" a classic but who thinks the same way about "Dreams"? And therein lies the problem. See, the red rocker is apparently hurting for cash and so has penned a tell-all memoir "Red: My Uncensored Life In Rock" all about his rock and roll lifestyle during anything goes 70's and 80's. But how to really get some attention and boost sales? Hmmmm... Well, Sammy alit upon the answer today while being interviewed by MTV: tell the world you were abducted by aliens! No, seriously. He said that. Today.

In an interview for his book at mtvhive.com today, he and the MTV reporter were talking about dreams he claims to have had about UFOs, and when asked whether he believed he had been abducted, Hagar answered "I think I have." The reporter, unsurprisingly, seemed surprised. "What? Really? I was kidding. You seriously believe that?" Hagar then explains that a passage in the book that he described as being a dream in which he is contacted by aliens from outer space in California was, in fact, reality. The anecdote describes how the beings tapped into his mind through a wireless connection. "It was real," Hagar said. "They were plugged into me. It was a download situation ... Or, they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment." Erm... okay, so the man who once claimed not to be able to drive 55, also apparently can't tell what dreams are made of either. But the fact remains he's probably crazy like a fox on this one - because he was trending on Twitter today and got his book posted about here and all over the place today. So there's that.
