Google Dominates Search Engine Market In February
Once again Google has maintained its overwhelming dominance of the U.S. search engine market - with 65.4% market share in February. At number two was Yahoo! with 16.1% and Microsoft came in at #3 with 13.6%. Ask Network at 3.2% and AOL with 1.7% rounded out the top five. More than 15.4 billion searches were conducted in February. Google Sites ranked first with 10.1 billion searches, followed by Yahoo! Sites with 2.5 billion, Microsoft Sites with 2.1 billion, Ask Network with 491 million and AOL, Inc. with 267 million. Honestly, no one here at Elepharts can remember the last time they used any site other than Google to do a search. We're not necessarily sure that's good thing but its true.
